Evie and Ethan - the Maytime dolls.

At last! Some pictures of the two dolls I completed in May.
I was lucky to find two lovely pieces of red fabric for Evie's dress. I couldn't decide which to use so ended up combining them to make this pretty springtime dress. I made scrunchies for her hair with the same material as the sleeves and collar.
Her brother Ethan is wearing a T-shirt made from one of mine which I no longer wear. Because dolls have large heads it opens with press studs all along the left sleeve.

Evie's red tights are also made from an old T-shirt. She is still wearing Briony's shoes but I plan to make her some little denim boots. Ethan's jeans are made from the same denim shirt that was used for Carole's jeans - just a different style. I'm making my own patterns now using Linda Carr's book just for guidance on the size although I still seem to have to make things larger as my dolls come up bigger than expected.
