More Isabella and Isaac
In the 18 months since I started making dolls I have been refining the pattern for the dolls body. I began by using the pattern from Linda Carr's book, Classic Cloth Dolls. However the pattern I have created for Isabella and Isaac, while building on the original differs in several ways. These dolls are taller because I have lengthened the legs and their bodies are a little slimmer with the girl doll having a definite waist. This makes them look a little older, more like 10 year olds than 7 year olds. A bigger change was that I now make the arms seperately so that they can be jointed and forward facing.

Gone to a New Home
These are two of my latest dolls which I made for my cousin Irene. They have very attractive faces, although a little sad. I especially like them because they are taller than the other dolls and have jointed arms.
The girl doll's outfit is based on Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. It is also the first time I have successfully made plaits for the doll's hair style.
Of course there is no boy in the Wizard of Oz story but I made this boy doll to match Dorothy. He is very loveable!
